Out-of-bounds read via non-TKIP key handling
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in the Linux RSI Wi-Fi driver allows attackers to read beyond a supplied non-TKIP key buffer. rsi_hal_load_key() unconditionally copies eight-byte MIC keys from offsets 16 and 24 even when a shorter cipher key lacks those fields. Reachability requires the RSI driver to process key data for a non-TKIP cipher; published evidence does not establish external disclosure or a crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
