CVE-2026-93802Hinoki check available

Kernel memory corruption via unchecked beacon copy

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in affected Linux rsi Wi-Fi driver branches allows attackers to corrupt kernel memory through beacon creation. rsi_prepare_beacon() copies a mac80211 beacon after FRAME_DESC_SZ into a management skb without checking its reduced post-alignment tailroom. Reaching the copy requires control of an RSI wireless interface configured to generate an oversized AP or P2P-GO beacon; the published patch establishes no remote trigger.
