Unspecified impact via unchecked WGDS revision shift
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Undefined shift in Linux iwlwifi before 6.12.111 or 6.18.53 allows attackers to cause unspecified impact through malformed WGDS data. The iwl_acpi_get_wgds_table function passes an unchecked firmware-supplied revision to BIT(tbl_rev), although its revision mask represents only indices 0 through 7. Reachability requires an Intel Wi-Fi ACPI platform whose firmware supplies an out-of-range WGDS revision during driver initialization; published evidence identifies undefined behavior but no demonstrated crash or exploit.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
