Unauthenticated stored XSS via imported Yelp reviews
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Yelp Review Slider 9.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through imported Yelp review text. The wpyelp_download_source review-import path stores Yelp review text without sufficient sanitization, and page rendering outputs it without adequate escaping. An anonymous Yelp reviewer needs no WordPress account, but a site administrator must use Download Reviews before the script executes in the browser of anyone viewing the affected page.
