Unauthenticated stored XSS via unescaped webhook logs
Published Oct 10, 2026 · Updated Oct 10, 2026
Stored XSS in Podlove Podcast Publisher 4.5.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via Auphonic webhook requests. When status_string is not the literal string 'Done', the handler stores the raw POST data before authentication-key validation, and the Support page renders saved logs without escaping. Injection requires no credentials; script execution requires a user to view the affected Support page and occurs in that site's browser context.
