Subscriber-level browser script execution via unsanitized topic tags
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Stored XSS in AdvancedCoding wpForo Forum 3.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted topic tags. Topic-tag rendering paths store attacker-controlled tag text and output it on topic pages, forum listings, the Tags page, and search results without sufficient neutralization. Subscriber access is required to save the payload, and execution requires another user to view a page that renders the tag.
