Administrator-browser script execution via unescaped author_id link
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Reflected XSS in VeronaLabs WP Statistics 14.16.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via author_id. In the Author Analytics header, the request value enters a report link without URL escaping, allowing quotes to break out of its href attribute. Exploitation requires an authorized analytics viewer to open a crafted report URL; the injected script runs in that viewer's browser under the site's origin.
