Admin-session script execution via unescaped Facebook comments
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Stored XSS in Smash Balloon Social Post Feed 4.13.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in admin browsers via Facebook comments. The admin feed-builder preview inserts a Facebook comment message with Vue v-html without escaping, while v-show leaves hidden comment markup active in the DOM. A Facebook account able to comment on a connected Page and an administrator opening the preview are required; the injected script can invoke cff_install_addon to install a plugin from an attacker-controlled URL.
