Remote service interruption via unbounded parameter copy
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A3002MU Hh-B20211125.1046 allows remote attackers to interrupt the Boa management service via a crafted HTTP request. The /bin/boa formWlEncrypt handler copies the user-controlled submit-url POST parameter into a fixed-size buffer without enforcing a reliable length boundary. Network reachability to the management interface is sufficient; the public proof of concept demonstrates a nonresponsive web service, while code execution is not demonstrated.
