Copy-workflow manipulation via unvalidated callbacks and race
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
Queue manipulation in Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller 5.12.6 and earlier allows attackers to supply forged metadata and content. Queue processing sends acknowledgements to an unvalidated callback URL; together with a race condition, this causes FileCopyService to consume attacker-controlled metadata and content. Exploitation requires control over copy queue work and winning the race; the supplied record establishes copy-workflow manipulation, not code execution.
