Redirect manipulation via empty Location heap over-read
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in PHP's HTTP stream wrapper allows remote attackers to influence redirects through an empty Location header. php_stream_url_wrap_http_ex dereferences the byte after the one-byte Location buffer instead of checking the recorded header length. Exploitation requires a PHP application to fetch from an attacker-controlled server; the observable consequence is limited to one heap-state bit selecting the host root or current directory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
