Daemon crash via wrapped peer EID length
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Integer overflow in the TCPCLv3 handshake in D3TN GmbH µD3TN before 0.15.1 allows remote attackers to crash the daemon. A UINT32_MAX peer EID length wraps to zero in malloc(peer_eid_len + 1), while recv still uses the original length and overwrites the heap. An unauthenticated TCPCLv3 client can trigger the flaw before bundle parsing on Linux, interrupting service for connected applications and peers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
