Protected graph modification via unbound async workers
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Missing authorization in ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to modify protected graph adjacency through batch imports. The parallel edge-connect phase dispatches writes to DatabaseAsyncTransaction workers without the authenticated principal, so LocalDatabase.checkPermissionsOnFile returns early and skips per-type ACLs. Exploitation requires database access, CREATE_RECORD on an edge type, denied create or update rights on a vertex type, and the default parallelFlush setting; successful requests durably append edges to protected vertices.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
