Process crash via zero ticks-per-second divisor
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Divide-by-zero in ImageMagick before 7.1.2-31 and before 6.9.13-56 allows remote attackers to crash FLIF encoding. The FLIF encoder uses an incorrect ticks-per-second value from the image as a divisor without rejecting zero, terminating the encoding process. The vulnerable path must encode FLIF output; the reported consequence is a process crash without confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
