CVE-2026-93588Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Application crash via unchecked PNM comment allocation

Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in ImageMagick before 7.1.2-31 and before 6.9.13-56 allows remote authenticated users to crash an application. In coders/pnm.c, PNMComment applies strlen and pointer arithmetic after the comment allocation can return NULL at a memory resource limit. Reachability requires PNM image processing to hit that limit at the affected point; the reported consequence is confined to process availability.
