Information disclosure via unneutralized CSV formulas
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
CSV formula injection in OTRS exports allows remote attackers to disclose information through spreadsheet processing of crafted values. OTRS and ((OTRS)) Community Edition export stored user input without neutralizing leading =, +, -, or @ characters, allowing spreadsheet software to interpret those values as formulas. Incoming email can supply affected fields without an account; exploitation requires opening an export and depends on spreadsheet settings and warning confirmations, with no code execution on the OTRS server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
