Cross-namespace GitRepo polling changes via unverified webhooks
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Improper authorization in SUSE Rancher Fleet 0.16.0 through 0.16.1 allows remote attackers to change GitRepo polling through webhook requests. The gitjob receiver patches an unset GitRepo spec.pollingInterval to one hour before verifying the request against a webhook secret, including for a GitRepo in another namespace. Exploitation requires network access to the receiver and no configured webhook secret; it can delay legitimate Git rollouts but does not change deployed content or disclose data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
