Contributor cross-user content tampering via missing object authorization
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Broken access control in WSP MCP – AI Agents Connector 2.7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter others' content. Seven post, page, and media write callbacks check only edit_posts or delete_posts rather than per-object edit_post or delete_post authorization. A Contributor with an Application Password can edit, publish, unpublish, or trash Administrator- or Editor-owned objects when an affected write tool is enabled.
