Payment-state manipulation via unverified PayPal webhooks
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Improper webhook validation in W3 Eden Premium Packages 7.0.0 through 7.2.0 allows remote attackers to forge PayPal events. The REST endpoint and legacy listener act on posted JSON without verifying PayPal transmission headers against the stored webhook identifier. Knowledge of an order's transaction identifier permits marking it paid, extending its expiry, or stopping subscription renewal.
