Private post disclosure via unauthorized cloning
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Broken access control in WC Fields Factory before 4.1.11 allows remote authenticated users to copy and read arbitrary WordPress posts. The Clone Fields Group AJAX handler accepts a caller-selected post without enforcing shop-manager permission or validating a nonce, then creates a readable duplicate regardless of the source post's type, status, or owner. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and copying a private or draft post exposes its content through the resulting duplicate.
