CVE-2026-93493Network attack vector

Certificate validation bypass via omitted OCSP nextUpdate

Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026

Improper certificate revocation checking in Netty allows remote attackers to bypass TLS trust checks with a crafted OCSP response. OcspResponse rejects an omitted nextUpdate value, and OcspServerCertificateValidator continues processing without completing the intended OCSP validation. Affected Red Hat build of Apache Camel applications must explicitly use that validator; accepted unvalidated certificates can compromise TLS connection integrity.
