Authenticated database access via unsanitized patient ID
Published May 23, 2026 · Updated May 23, 2026
SQL injection in Hospital's Patient Records Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter patient data. The /admin/patients/view_history.php handler inserts the GET id value directly into a MySQL query without validation, escaping, or parameter binding. A low-privilege web session reaches the flaw, and crafted boolean-, time-, or UNION-based input exposes or changes records within the database account's permissions.
