Filesystem exhaustion via unauthenticated administrative endpoint
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Denial of service in IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5 and 9.0 allows remote attackers to exhaust filesystem space via HTTP. The administrative endpoint accepts the crafted request without authentication and consumes filesystem space, but IBM has not disclosed the handler or stored data. Network adjacency is required, and successful exploitation can halt server operation as filesystem capacity is depleted.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
