Account takeover via unverified JWT email fallback
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Authentication bypass in Berri AI LiteLLM 1.102.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to assume other accounts via unverified JWT email claims. The JWT authentication flow falls back to an email-based user lookup without checking email_verified and overwrites the matched user's stored identity binding. Exploitation requires a valid token from the configured identity provider and an unverified email matching an existing user; a proxy_admin match grants persistent access to administrative endpoints.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
