Code execution via injected model_type import
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Code injection in Unsloth AI Unsloth Zoo 2025.9.9 through 2026.8.13 allows attackers to execute Python when a crafted model is loaded. In the affected model-loading path, get_transformers_model_type() accepts a newline in a nested config.json model_type, which breaks out of a generated import executed by unsloth_compile_transformers(). Execution requires the loading user to select or receive the malicious model; injected code runs with that user's privileges.
