File disclosure via unchecked cluster get_list_file paths
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Path traversal in Wazuh manager before 4.14.8 allows remote authenticated users to read files via cluster requests. The get_list_file helper passes caller-controlled filenames to a file reader without checking that the resolved path remains inside the CDB lists directory, while DistributedAPI calls bypass REST filename validation. Exploitation requires the cluster key and exposes client.keys, ossec.conf, and other files readable by the wazuh user, without demonstrated modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
