Account takeover via unvalidated reset-link origin
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Password reset link poisoning in Gladys Assistant before 5.1.0 allows remote attackers to take over accounts through crafted requests. The forgot_password endpoint trusts a client-supplied origin without server-side validation and embeds it in reset links containing valid session tokens. No authentication is required; when a recipient follows the poisoned link, the token is sent to the attacker and exposes the account, including administrator accounts.
