CVE-2026-93319Hinoki check available

Daemon crash via gateway container lifecycle race

Published Oct 5, 2026 · Updated Oct 5, 2026

Denial of service in Moby Project BuildKit 0.33.0 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to crash buildkitd via an external frontend. The gateway internal API processes crafted frontend requests without safely coordinating container lifecycle state, creating a race that panics the daemon. Exploitation requires an untrusted external frontend to run; ordinary Dockerfile builds are unaffected, while a daemon crash interrupts builds.
