Unsafe deserialization in IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5 and 9.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted HTTP requests. The SAML Web Single Sign-On component deserializes user-supplied request data without proper validation, enabling a suitable gadget chain to run attacker-controlled code. Exploitation requires valid low-privilege credentials and a reachable SAML Web SSO deployment; successful attacks compromise the server process.
