DMA mapping retention via premature page-array clearing
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Improper DMA cleanup in Linux 6.17 through 6.18.52 allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via GPU migration errors. On an error path, drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages clears the pages array before drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages uses it to identify DMA mappings for release. Reachability requires the DRM pagemap GPU SVM migration path to fail; the Linux CNA has not published attacker prerequisites or a concrete security consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
