Repeated teardown of freed RDMA resources
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Resource lifecycle failure in Linux 7.1 allows local users with RDMA device access to repeat teardown of freed bnxt_re resources via uverbs. Destroy callbacks validate output only after releasing driver resources, so a userspace-access failure preserves the uobject and invokes teardown again. The public patch does not state whether this produces a crash, memory corruption, or another externally visible effect.
