Kernel denial of service via ignored BPF offset
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Denial of service in Linux kernel 6.10 allows attackers to trigger a kernel page fault via a crafted BPF per-CPU instruction. The BPF interpreter's ALU64_MOV_X path ignores the offset marking BPF_MOV64_PERCPU_REG, then dereferences an invalid per-CPU pointer. Triggering the fault requires the rewritten instruction to fall back from JIT compilation to the interpreter, producing a kernel Oops and service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
