CVE-2026-93253Hinoki check available

Boot-time warning via premature cpumask memory free

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

A memory-lifecycle flaw in Linux 7.0 causes a boot-time kernel warning when the nohz_full parameter enables CPU isolation. housekeeping_init frees an old housekeeping cpumask from memblock before deferred_init_memmap has finished initializing the memory map. Reachability requires CONFIG_NO_HZ_FULL and a nohz_full boot argument; published evidence demonstrates a warning, not a crash or data compromise.
