Kernel crash via uninitialized clock parent pointer
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Use of uninitialized data in Linux 6.17 Amlogic SPISG clock setup allows attackers to crash the kernel via unspecified vectors. aml_spisg_clk_init() sets init.parent_data but leaves the mutually exclusive init.parent_names member uninitialized, so clock parent selection can consume stack garbage. The crash path requires the SPISG driver to initialize with CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL_PATTERN or CONFIG_INIT_STACK_NONE enabled; no further impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
