CVE-2026-93206Hinoki check available

Local PCI configuration disclosure via caller credentials

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Improper access control in Linux kernel PCI procfs before listed fixes allows local users to read extended PCI configuration data. proc_bus_pci_read() checks CAP_SYS_ADMIN on the task performing read() instead of file->f_cred captured when the file was opened, allowing the access decision to change with the reader. Exploitation requires a descriptor handoff between processes with different privilege levels; the bounded consequence is disclosure of the device's full PCI configuration space.
