CVE-2026-93188Hinoki check available

Kernel-data disclosure via unchecked USB profile index

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

Out-of-bounds reads in the Linux Roccat Kone HID driver allow physically proximate attackers to read kernel data via a malicious USB device. The kone_keep_values_up_to_date() and kone_profile_activated() functions index the five-element profiles array with an unchecked device-supplied byte and expose the resulting value through actual_dpi in sysfs. Exploitation requires the affected driver to handle a device claiming the Roccat Kone identity; the documented consequence is disclosure of the out-of-bounds value, not arbitrary kernel-memory access.
