Local kernel memory corruption via premature MR deregistration
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux irdma driver allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through a crafted RDMA userspace request. The irdma_get_pbl path associates a QP, CQ, or SRQ ring memory region, but irdma_dereg_mr frees it without retaining a reference for the live ring. Access to an irdma uverbs device is required; subsequent NIC DMA can read or overwrite recycled memory or panic the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
