Power-domain denial of service via incomplete teardown
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Denial of service in Linux's Qualcomm GDSC driver allows local users to disable power-domain reinitialization via provider rebinding. In drivers/clk/qcom/gdsc.c, gdsc_unregister() omits pm_genpd_remove(), leaving entries in gpd_list that cause subsequent registration to fail with -EEXIST. Exposure requires an affected GDSC provider and an unbind/rebind cycle, such as module unloading or device-tree overlay removal; the disclosed consequence is failed power-domain initialization, not a demonstrated system crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
