CVE-2026-93126

Resource retention via unreleased device-node references

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

Reference leakage in Linux 6.3's qcom_q6v5_adsp driver allows attackers to cause resource retention via carveout mapping. The adsp_map_carveout function obtains a device-node reference through of_parse_phandle_with_args() without releasing it through of_node_put(). Reachability depends on the affected driver path; the disclosure does not identify attacker-controlled input or establish a resulting hang, crash, or reboot.
