CVE-2026-93111

Local kernel code execution via freed BPF trampoline

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux kernel 7.2 through 7.2.5 allows local users with delegated BPF capabilities to execute code in the kernel. register_fentry_multi() leaves tracing_multi trampolines outside ftrace management, so a later fentry attach and link release frees an image still targeted by a live call site. Exploitation requires CAP_BPF and CAP_PERFMON, and reclaiming the freed JIT page grants kernel control flow; an unsuccessful trigger can oops or panic the host.
