CVE-2026-93104Hinoki check available

Memory corruption via freed device pointer return

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux 4.6 RDMA/rvt allows local users to corrupt kernel memory when port-array allocation fails. The rvt_alloc_device() function frees the InfiniBand device but returns its stale pointer, which callers accept as valid and dereference. The failure must occur during device allocation; upstream evidence does not establish an attacker-controlled trigger or a specific crash outcome.
