Memory leak via omitted camera notifier cleanup
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Memory leakage in the bcm2835-unicam camera driver in Linux 6.10 allows local users to leave kernel allocations unreleased. The unicam_async_nf_init() error path and unicam_remove() omit v4l2_async_nf_cleanup(), leaving asynchronous connection objects allocated. The documented trigger is privileged driver removal on systems using this camera interface; no crash or data access is demonstrated.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
