Stack disclosure via oversized debugfs output
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Stack over-read in Linux host1x debugfs allows local users to read kernel stack bytes via oversized diagnostic output. In drivers/gpu/host1x/debug.c, host1x_debug_output() and host1x_debug_cont() pass vsnprintf's untruncated length to the output callback even when the formatted text exceeds the 256-byte buffer. Reachability requires access to host1x debugfs files, normally restricted to root, and an oversized formatted result; the printk sink is unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
