CPU exhaustion via quadratic XML attribute validation
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Denial of service in RazrFalcon roxmltree 0.21.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to exhaust CPU by supplying crafted XML. Document::parse linearly scans previously accepted attributes for every new attribute and repeats linear namespace-deduplication work, producing quadratic runtime. The condition requires a consuming application to parse attacker-controlled XML; a successful request pins a CPU core and interrupts that consumer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
