Service interruption via unreleased scheduler sessions
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Resource exhaustion in InternLM LMDeploy 0.17.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt DistServe prefill workers. The proxy passes a user-facing completion response ID to the prefill free-cache path instead of the internal scheduler key, so preserved sessions and sequences remain allocated. Exploitation requires DistServe prefill/decode disaggregation and sustained unauthenticated completion requests, which grow worker memory until the prefill engine is OOM-killed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
