CVE-2026-92982Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Authenticated code execution via Jinja2 template injection

Published Oct 15, 2026 · Updated Oct 15, 2026

Template injection in Ansible Operator Plugins allows remote authenticated users to execute code through custom-resource specifications. Operator watches pass CR spec values to ansible-runner without marking them unsafe, so Ansible evaluates embedded Jinja2 expressions inside the operator pod. Exploitation requires permission to create or modify a watched CR and gains the operator's service-account permissions, including cluster-wide access where granted.
