Service interruption and metadata disclosure via route poisoning
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Missing authentication in SGLang 0 through 0.5.19 allows remote attackers to redirect KV transfers through the prefill bootstrap service. The PUT /route handler accepts unauthenticated rank_ip and rank_port values and writes them directly into the routing table trusted by decode workers. Reachability requires prefill/decode disaggregation mode and network access to the bootstrap service; poisoned routes can interrupt inference or disclose session and topology metadata.
