Authenticated command execution via repeaterSSID injection
Published May 23, 2026 · Updated May 23, 2026
Command injection in Edimax BR-6428nS 1.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted repeaterSSID value. The formWlbasic POST handler at /goform/formWlbasic incorporates repeaterSSID into an operating-system command without neutralizing command metacharacters. Access to the router's web management interface with low privileges is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands on the appliance.
