Unauthorized OAuth redemption via site-wide callback
Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026
Missing authorization in the ByteDance TikTok WordPress plugin 1.2.0 through 1.4.1 allows remote attackers to redeem OAuth codes. The site-wide callback loosely matches a sign-in code on every request and redeems it without confirming an authorized administrator or validating OAuth state. No WordPress account or user interaction is required, but a configured TikTok connection and a valid attacker-controlled code are needed; the result is an unauthorized token write, not data disclosure or service interruption.
