CVE-2026-92881Network attack vector

Application crash via zero AWB alignment divisor

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026

Divide-by-zero in the vgmstream AWB parser allows remote attackers to crash an embedding application through a crafted audio file. init_vgmstream_awb_memory reads attacker-controlled 16-bit alignment fields and uses them as modulo divisors without rejecting zero. Exploitation requires an application or user to open an untrusted AWB, AFS2, or AWX file, and the documented consequence is termination during metadata parsing before audio decoding.
